Things keep getting better...

This past week has been incredible. Ending one of my top 5 favorite trips, shooting the cover of BLUFF, beginning a new chapter in my life and now getting ready for the show to start. Here's a pic of the stage of the Real Deal! I'm so excited for the show. As soon as I walked into the theater last week it started to sink in. I'm going to be the hostess of the Real Deal! OMG! My Mom and best friend Alex were the ones that showed this kind of excitement from the beginning that I'm only now starting to feel. This show is going to be so much fun and everyone is going to love it, I guarantee it. I'll make sure to write more about the show as the days get closer.
Wishful thinking on my part saying that I would be able to catch up with my writing. But after being home for a week now I do believe that I have only 25% to finish on my "to do" list. That my friends is a great feeling. With all the things going on and coming up it's been hard to actually sit down and write. So many changes in my life and wonderful things keep happening that it's hard to give it justice by empty words on a computer screen. Today I'll be writing my Pokerlistings blog and spending some quality time to express the amazing 3 weeks I had on the East Coast, the Real Deal, the cover shoot, and much more fun stories with the girls in town.

Back to bloging...

I've finally had some time to sit down and write these past few days. Right now I'm in Atlantic City at Borgata for two weeks. The Borgata Poker Open has kicked off with record breaking numbers and lots of bad players. So hurry your butts out here! This time they've guaranteed the prize pool of the main event for 5 million dollars! You can read up on that and all the new things going on in my
pokerlistings blog

In the mean time I'm going to chill at the Tocarre Spa. It's been a disappointing day for me and I need to clear my head. No worries though, all is well, especially after a nice massage.

Every model's worst nightmare... hilarious!

Lucky for me, the worst has been kicking off a shoe into the crowd. Try walking down a runway with one shoe on and one shoe off! At least everyone clapped when I finished walking back. lol. Make sure to watch the whole video. It gets better! Thanks for the laugh Galina. xoxo

Moments of clarity

This is one of my favorite photos to stare at. A sea of clouds into infinity with a single small wooden boat to take on the journey. I like to visualize being on the boat... my quick way to escape the world, if only for a few minutes. After I'm done it seems as though the peace and quiet transcends and I'm calm and happy inside.

The photo of the sky is the exact opposite of the sky above me. It's becoming monsoon season (my favorite time) here in Las Vegas. The clouds are thick and black swallowing the sun. You can hear the thunder rolling, yet it has not rained. The anticipation is fun for me. I love the rain. I remember in Texas there would be flood warnings and we knew we'd be stuck in our house for a few days. My mother, being the smartest woman alive, would take my little sister and I to the same four places to "stock up" on everything we would need. Without fail we'd go to HEB (a supermarket), Blockbusters, the Bookstop, and the liquor store. It was those days I loved the most. My mother would start a fire in the fire place and we never ran out of fun things to do. It almost seemed like a mini vacation. Watching the rain pound on the glass for hours never got boring to me. I love the rain.

I've been taking some "me" time these past few weeks and it has done wonders! I wish I could fill everyone in on all the great things happening or about to happen. I felt like writing this blog to catch a fleeting feeling I didn't want to forget. Instead of keeping it to myself I felt like sharing. Maybe there are stressful things going on around you at the moment, hopefully not. Take a few minutes each day for yourself. Think about the things that make you happy. Jot down a fond memory enjoying that moment or put yourself back in that place. Remember the sounds, smells, and visualise your surroundings. I swear doing this on a regular basis is better than Prozac, but don't quote me... I'm not a doctor.

Dang it!

Last night I couldn't take it anymore! After only 41 hours of being on the master cleanse, I broke down and had a friend run to Carl's Jr and buy me a chicken sandwich. Please forgive me Etay. It was the best chicken sandwich I had ever tasted in my life! Yummy BBQ sauce oozed all over my fingertips as I inhaled it as fast as humanly possible. I believe it took 25.6 seconds total. It was quickly joked about soon after. "By the way... did you know she's on the Master Cleanse?" hahahaha "Really?? That shit is crazy!" Yes indeed, it is crazy.
Now I have to add 2 more days to this damn thing! But I'm not worried. I'm determined. In fact, my moment of weakness could have all been avoided if I had stayed more focused on the end result. It's all about will power... and gettin' skinny. JK. The most important reason for me to do this is to get rid of all the toxins in my body and become clean and sober. With so many things going on in my crazy life, it's so important to take care of myself. I'm at an age where I must take responsibility for my actions. So many doors have opened up for me that I would be stupid if I thought that I could carry on my same lifestyle.
Basically it all boils down to this... My life has just begun on a new and exciting path. I must take all the right steps to make sure I don't wander off the beaten path I've done so many times before. I have to stay focused! I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life! Get ready for some exciting things real soon.
xoxo
